Six months into the world of sports journalism.. working towards going to the 2002 World Cup perhaps...worried that I'll forget how to speak Japanese ... in love more than I've ever known ... got to pull my finger out and get 'Clubpop Xplorer' DJ night sorted .. the Peter Pan meets Dorian Gray existence continues .. still governed by the three 's's - style, substance and self (and, some might say, shite).

Some excerpts from a returnee's diary' :
......there's a feeling I get from being in Tokyo that it's hard to explain - it's like - you can't hide because you're so physically visible, so you realise subconsciously not to be shy, but to make the most of it. And I do ..

....I try not to think of things in the past with regret - maybe because it's all 'experience', maybe because few good things ever seem to end with a smile, but mostly because it doesn't help the present or the future. I know that must sound a bit unemotional and practical, but after the initial feelings pass away, that tends to be how it is for me. At least in theory, anyway.
